B-1B Lancers from the 7th Bomb Wing at Dyess AFB in Abilene, TX refuel from a KC-135 during a mission against ISIS targets in Syria on 27 September. After refueling, the Bone lights the afterburners and heads for the target.

It's a diamond flush. I like how it lights up the empennage.

I travel to Abilene regularly and spend my free time outside of Dyess, watching the Bones and the C-130s practice. I never get to see things like this, though. It's mostly just touch-and-goes.
On another side note, I plan to take my son to IAH one weekend soon to do some plane spotting. I hope to photograph the A380. I read that one of the best spotting locations is at a construction gate at the end of Rankin Road. I'll let you know when we go, and maybe we can hook up.

I've seen that one twice. My dad's company is doing some work and some future warehouses in the area and that beast passes over in the morning. The KLM 747 passes right over my house low, so rad! The Lee Rd. spotting lot is close also

Easily one of the most beautiful planes in inventory IMO.
